To this day its still amazing how much Orton has changed since this match.

I still remember this night. This was at the first Smackdown after Hogan won the undisputed title at Backlash 2002. My seats were about even with the entrance ramp. I can't believe it's been almost 10 years later and I can say that I was at Orton's TV debut.

Haven't watched it yet, but I remember my buddy taped it and brought it to me at college, cause we didn't have UPN or whatever channel it was on then. We marveled at how Holly chopped him in the f'n throat.

Man Holly beat the hell out of him. I don't think he made a single strike that wasn't stiff.

Hardcore Holly deserved to win that match.

Some people like Triple H never really changed their look since 2002. Orton, however, wouldn't know that was the same guy.

Where were your seats at William? By the way I love the fact that they just call it the civic center in Peoria on the video, when you and i know that the arena side of the civic center is called carver arena.

I was there, too. About even with the "Smackdown fist" on one side. Ran into Orton and Kurt Angle at Denny's after. Got Kurt's autograph, but didn't remember Orton from this match.

Hogan got the biggest sustained pop I've ever seen. That was unreal.

Yeah. That's one other thing that's forgotten about this night is how huge the pop Hogan got to open the show. Us fans were literally cheering for a good 15-20 minutes at least (Granted they clipped it a little bit on TV). I honestly thought I was going to lose my voice that night.
